Below are some highlights of the evaluation results of the campaign Healthy Baby Healthy Brain.
Parents Feedback
- The website was well received by parents. In the first six months after the launch, over 20,000 people had visited the English website and over 3,000 had visited the French website. Daily visits after six months slightly increased as more parents became aware of the websites.
- 97% of respondents to an online survey indicated that this website is extremely useful or useful to future and new parents.
- Although most parents access the videos through www.HealthyBabyHealthyBrain, many are also accessing them directly through the YouTube playlists. Uptake for the French videos is surpassing the uptake for the English videos on YouTube.
- The radio and television public service announcements were a cost-effective way to reach a large audience.
Service Providers Feedback
- 86% of service providers surveyed indicated that they liked the messages/content of the resources.
- Many service providers used the campaign tools to increase the local reach: distribution of magnets and tear-off sheets, articles in newspapers, display at events, web buttons, links from their website, local campaigns, etc.
- The ready-to-use workshop/DVD was rated as the most useful tool. It enabled service providers to reach additional parents and interest them in the website.
- Webinars and workshops to service providers helped increase their interest and uptake.
